The Government of Assam has constituted a commission called Assam Direct Recruitment Commission to carry out the recruitment process of Group III and Group IV posts of various departments. This commission has been formed to fulfil the guarantee of 1 lakh jobs provided by the current Chief Minister of Assam. The commission will accept common applications for similar types of posts in different departments. Also, the selection process will be same and candidates will have to appear for only one exam for all the departments and merit list will be prepared on the basis of their performance in that exam. The admit cards for Assam direct recruitment will be issued a few days before the exam and candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official websites.

Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has today on 9th June 2022 announced the written exam date of Assam Direct Recruitment 2022. Except Class-III (Driver) posts, the exam dates for the recruitment of other posts have been announced.
